Today Alice Cooper rhythm guitarist, Michael Bruce turns 61! The four surviving members of the band – Neal Smith, Dennis Dunaway, Michael and Alice – actually gathered this past weekend for a three-day autograph signing at the MonsterMania Con in New Jersey. I never go to those things but Neal did take my hardcover copy of Bob Greene’s book, Billion Dollar Baby, to get Michael and Alice to add their signatures to the inside, because Neal is awesome like that. Happy Birthday, Michael!
Sadly, I don’t have much Alice Cooper except for “Monsters and Mascara” (a greatest hits collection) and “Trash.” I’m picking up “Hey Stoopid” soon, ‘cuz I loved that growing up (hey, I’m an 80s child!) … but I need some 70s album recommendations!

I really think “Billion Dollar Babies” was the wrong book to pass around…after all, Greene’s book has been cited as one of the factors in the original band’s breakup…but hey, it’s been 30 years, right?
