Here’s his truly remarkable mash up of John Lennon’s “Imagine” with David Lee Roth’s vocals from Van Halen’s “Jump” adding layers of depth you couldn’t have imagined. Nice work, Mike!

The Teardrop Explodes’ Wilder Turns 29!
On This Date in 1981: The Teardrop Explodes released their second album, Wilder, which included the singles “Colours Fly Away”, “Passionate Friend”and “Tiny Children,” but every track on the album is amazing. Wilder reached position #29 on the UK albums chart but did not chart in the US, though it is certainly one of my very favorite albums of the 80s.

Killer Klown Sand Sculpture
The World Championship of Sand Sculpting took place this year in Federal Way, Washington, beginning September 8th, with artists’ work remaining on display until October 10, 2010. The annual event, which draws competitors from around the world, took place in Canada for more than 20 years; this year marked the first time the United States served as the host country.
