This year’s ICFF has come and gone, but the moment I passed by the booth for Poliedrica, makers of sleek, candy-colored Plexiglas furniture, I knew I had found it: the Oh, Wow piece of the entire show! Ladies and gentlemen, may I present the Bon Bon Acrylic Coffee Table!
Comprised of colored, cast Plexiglas modules, the table is shaped in such a way that it makes you think of a pile of sweet candies, or Bon Bons, as the French say.
This amazingly colorful acrylic coffee table is designed by Marco Pettinari, produced by Poliedrica, and distributed also by Studio Superego. Poliedrica is located in Pomezia (near Rome) in central Italy. 2019 is the first year that I have seen them at the fair, and boy, did they ever make an impression!
In the photos above and below, you can get a better look at the table’s four legs, and see how the translucent nature of the material casts colorful shadows on all surrounding surfaces. Fabulous. In Italian, the name Poliedrica means Polyhedral, which refers to a three-dimensional object with many faces.
As you can see, all of their furniture is unique, and absolutely gorgeous. Visit Poliedrica for more information on the Bon Bon table and other designs seen in this post!
