I love these things.
The McSurf and Turf is a succulent McDonald’s Filet O’ Fish sandwich nestled on top of a juicy Quarter Pounder with Cheese, with the Quarter Pounder’s top bun removed, giving it a sort of club sandwich presentation, not unlike that of the Big Mac. Which reminds me, how awesome is that new Filet O’ Fish Commercial with the singing fish? “Give me back that Filet O’ Fish. Give me that fish . . .” Hilarious. I could watch it over and over.
D&D Deli: Turkey BLT on Wheat Toast
OK, so there’s this new blog based in NYC called Scanwiches, which is just page after page of scanned pictures of very delicious-looking gourmet sandwiches. Oh. My. God. I guarantee this site is going to make your mouth water in about five seconds. I’m going to get a sandwich right now.

Parisi Bakery: Pastrami, Lettuce, Swiss & Mayo on a Hero
When Trader Joe’s opened its first store in Manhattan it completely changed my life, and it is still the primary grocery store in which I shop, even when it means I must stand in a line that snakes all the way through the store and back to the entrance. It’s always worth it. If you feel similarly, please enjoy this fan-made video with an accompanying original song about all of the many items that make this store incomparably special. Personally, I couldn’t give a crap about the Super Bowl. This evening I’ll be watching some Netflix, then Big Love and Flight of the Conchords in a blissfully Football-free wonderland. And I already had a big lunch at Gonzalez Y Gonzalez (hey, $5 Margaritas at the bar!) so I won’t be eating again tonight. But if I were to attend a Superbowl party (say, because I lost a bet) I sure would be happy to see this stadium made of tasty snacks waiting for me to sample. Here’s what’s in it:
