In 1938, Salvador Dali created Téléphone-homard (Lobster Telephone) by uniting a working Bakelite telephone with a plastic lobster.
In doing so, Dali made a modern communication device dysfunctional and dangerous, get playful. The crustacean’s tail, where its sexual organs are located, is placed directly over the phone’s mouthpiece.
