First things first: Izzy True is the name of a Band, not an individual. That said, the punky-folk quartet’s guitarist/vocalist is named Isabel (Reidy), so no doubt that was an influence on the band’s moniker. And why not? Their voice is compelling in the same way that Robert Pollard’s lo-fi vocal stylings make every Guided By Voices fan swoon the moment he opens his mouth.
