  1. Glen was an awesome piece of one of the most incredible bands in all of rock and roll history – The Alice Cooper Band!

    1. My memories of enjoying Alice Cooper records and seeing them live, many times when they came to the Maryland/Washington DC area in the early 70s are among my happiest — Glen Buxton, we miss you dearly, and thank you for your incredible playing in the band!

    1. got to see them at the Fillmore East (opening for Bloodrock) on the’the ‘Love It To Death’ tour…still have the program…one of the best shows ever!

  2. So sorry to hear this news. I knew Glen when he was in Alice Cooper back in the ’70s. My band Cradle used to practice at their house in Michigan. He will be missed. God bless and RIP Glen.

  3. I LOVED THE ALICE COOPER BAND FROM DAY 1 I HEARD THEM, PRETTIES FOR YOU, EASY ACTION UP UNTIL BILLION DOLLAR BABIES, THEN THE MAGIC STOPPED! IT WAS ALICE COOPER THE SINGER WITH HIRED GUNS. THE SONGWRITING DIED, THE MUSIC DIED. NO GLEN, NO MIKE NO NEAL, NO DENNIS = TRAGEDY.

THEN NO GLEN AT ALL, JUST A VOID WERE A BRILLIANT TALENT HAD BEEN. MISS YOU ‘SIR’ GLEN BUXTON. WITH AN ENGLISH NAME LIKE BUXTON [WHAT A BEAUTIFUL PLACE DERBYSHIRE IS] YOU SHOULD HAVE A KNIGHTHOOD FOR SERVICES TO REAL ROCK MUSIC.

  4. I will always be a fan of the ORIGINAL Alice Cooper band.
Glen’s guitar playing was the soundtrack to my childhood.
You will always be remembered as an Icon, Glen.

    God bless you…. RIP

  5. Glen was a spectacular guitar player. The original Alice Cooper band was responsible for some of the greatest rock songs ever. Songs that still sound great to this day. It is an absolute crime that they have not been inducted in to the Rock & Roll hall of fame. It makes no sense.

  7. “Killer” is one of the best album from the 70’s and Glen an incredible and unfortunately unrecognized guitar player, but still present through the music … Thanks for that, eternally!

  8. “Me and G.B. we ain’t never gonna confess, we cheated at the math test…We carved some dirty words in our desk, well now it’s time for recess”

  9. What can I say about Glen, he was the lead guitarist in my all time fave band, Alice Cooper…His fiery leads melted speakers and concert stages all over the globe and his songwriting was legendary, but Glen was also a natural born comedian, a dear friend, brother and bandmate and a guy who adored his fans…Anyone lucky enough to have met him loved him instantly…check out my tribute site to G.B. http://www.myspace.com/glenbuxtotribute

RI.P. Glen you will always be sorely missed

  10. I lost my husband the same way last year at the age of 54….why does this happen to men in their prime, men with so much to offer? I have loved the original incarnation of Alice Cooper since I was 9 years old…and without Glen, they will never be the same. You are missed, Glen.

  11. GLEN WAS ONE OF THE MOST INSPIRED GUITARISTS OF THOSE TIMES, AND IT’S TOO BAD SO MUCH WAS LEFT UNTAPPED. ALICE COOPER WITHOUT THE ORIGINAL BAND IS LIKE KISS WITHOUT MAKEUP. THE SPECTACLE HAD DIMMED.

  12. The original Alice Cooper band WAS the best band ever! Glen, Dennis, Mike and Neal were the heart of the band. Alice can’t be forgiving. He ruined the best band ever…LONG LIVE the BILLION DOLLAR BABIES! GLEN we love ya! THE best band now is Bouchard, Dunaway and Smith. GREAT, GREAT CDs. PLEASE, Keep on rocking!

  13. Glen is my biggest influence as a guitarist! Nothing can compare to the great rock and roll of the original Alice Cooper! There is a great page…actually the only page, dedicated to Glen Buxton of Facebook, go add it!
