Do you enjoy the Brit Pop? I sure do. I just got this clip for Hooton Tennis Club’s sublime new song, “Jasper” and I cant’ stop playing it, because it reminds me that (98% of the time) the Brits just do music better! You know I’m right. Also, I love that the video looks in places like it should be 3D even though it isn’t. With the ubiquitous chime-y guitars we’ve all come to expect and love from the Brit Pop, I also appreciate the bright snare tones and the overall low key humor inherent in this clip. As James Brown once said, “I Feel Good!”
“Jasper” (b/w “Standing Knees”) is Hooton Tennis Club’s debut single, out February 24th, 2015 on Heavenly Recordings. Two thumbs way up!
