Comic fans, prepare yourselves: two of pop culture’s most iconic heroes are swinging back into a shared universe. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the very first DC/Marvel crossover — the legendary Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man from 1976 — DC is releasing a brand-new one-shot, Superman/Spider-Man #1, arriving on March 25, 2026.
Earlier this year, DC Comics and Marvel Comics confirmed that their historic crossover partnership would continue into 2026. Now DC has unveiled the creative teams and cover art for the highly anticipated issue, which delivers not only a marquee team-up but an entire anthology of original crossover stories.

Clark Kent Meets Peter Parker — On and Off the Clock
The main story brings together two of comics’ biggest creators: writer Mark Waid and artist Jorge Jiménez. Their adventure kicks off when journalists Clark Kent and Peter Parker both chase the same mysterious scoop. The deeper they dig, the more they uncover a conspiracy with the fingerprints of Brainiac and Doctor Octopus all over it. Fortunately, these mild-mannered reporters have a few super-powered tricks up their sleeves — namely Superman and your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.
A Packed Anthology of Crossover Tales
The one-shot goes big with an impressive roster of bonus stories from some of DC’s most celebrated storytellers. Highlights include:
- Tom King & Jim Lee teaming up for a story that pairs Lois Lane with Mary Jane Watson.
- Matt Fraction & Steve Lieber revisiting Jimmy Olsen — and Carnage.
- Sean Murphy jumping ahead in time with Superboy (Legion) and Spider-Man 2099.
- Gail Simone & Belén Ortega exploring what happens when Power Girl crosses paths with the Punisher.
- Christopher Priest & Daniel Sampere imagining a moment when the ever-meta Superboy Prime drops in on Spider-Man right after he acquires the black suit.
- Greg Rucka & Nicola Scott staging a high-stakes race between the Daily Planet and the Daily Bugle.
And yes — one story finally tackles a long-running fan joke: Pa Kent vs. Uncle Ben. While the two nicest men in comics certainly won’t be throwing punches, Jeff Lemire and Rafa Sandoval transport readers into the past for a heartfelt look at the ways the two iconic father figures might have bonded through shared adversity.
