Each year, The Village Voice polls every Music Critic on the planet to come up with its list of the top ten or one hundred or so albums of the year. While my choices are always — always — wide of the mark, since I don’t listen to hip hop or bands that suck, they do have the courtesy to post everyone’s ballots online.
