Rip The Skull’s Vintage Halloween Postcards

Being a rabid collector of vintage Halloween memorabilia, someone going by the pseudonym of Rip The Skull has accumulated what might be the largest group of Vintage Halloween Post Cards ever seen. There are literally over 1400 thumbnail images of these amazing cards cataloged on just one of his/her many Flickr.com pages. I can’t help but get a vicarious thrill from someone who has such a wild passion for collecting.

This one is just insane!

Sadly, there were no postcards with pictures of Satan on them, but this one (above) looked pretty close.

Lego Skull

Lego Artist Matt Armstrong created a realistic looking Lego skull by gluing Lego pieces over a non-Lego skull model. Despite the unconventional method used, the finished product still looks pretty rad!

Hot Item: Dan Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka in Skull Shaped Bottle!

Yes, it Exists

By now, everybody with an Internet connection has likely heard of Dan Aykroyd’s Crystal Head Vodka. Promoted by an ingenious viral video which many people mistook for some kind of a joke ad for Absolute Vodka, the product is actually real: its primary selling point being that it comes in a collectible clear glass, skull-shaped bottle designed by Bruni glass of Milano, Italy. And who wouldn’t like to make a bong out of that? The original run of the product quickly sold out, but can still find it for sale all over, including Here. View the very entertaining, original 8 minute video with Dan Aykroyd on You Tube.

Introducing Sklush – the Plush Skull Toy!

Who Says Skulls Aren’t Soft and Cuddly?

Good Day, and welcome to day two of Gail Blogging about Skulls. Artist / Toymaker Joe Grady has produced his first handmade plushie toys, which he calls “Sklush” (Skull + Plush). While the first two Sklush were made for the Monster Art Rally show (at San Francisco’s Gallery 1988), Joe plans on creating more in the future. Look for him to switch up the colors and graphics so no two will ever be alike.
