There is so much that is the absolute essence of Pinkness going on in this photo. First, look at this towering Christmas tree — just look at it —  with its abundance of glittering mid-century baubles and the width swath of Pink Satin Ribbon encircling its branches. Next, observe the walls of the room, which are the loveliest shade of soft millennial pink. This tree was spotted in the Hollywood Museum, located in a building whose pink walls hint at this space’s original occupant.

Max Factor was a prominent makeup artist in Hollywood, and the art deco-style building at 1660 North Highland Avenue, known as the Max Factor Building, was his former headquarters. It later became the Max Factor Museum, celebrating the history of makeup and beauty in the entertainment industry.

After changing ownership multiple times, the building was sold in 1994 by its then owner, Proctor& Gamble, to the Hollywood Museum. After ten years of renovations and restorations, the Museum opened its doors to the public in 2003.

Dedicated to preserving and showcasing the history of the entertainment industry, visitors can enjoy a vast collection of memorabilia, costumes, props, and exhibits related to Hollywood’s rich culture. It’s definitely worth a visit if you find yourself in Los Angeles.
