As a way to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Hello Kitty — and also make a boatload of cash — the Nordstrom Flagship store in midtown recently opened a Pop Up shop designed with lots of Instagram-able displays and stocked with very overpriced merchandise. I ‘popped in’ last week once the crowds of influencers died down and was charmed especially by this adorable popcorn maker, which you might agree looks quite a bit like This Guy.

The popper uses a hot-air popping method, so no oil is required and, as seen on the back of the box, the top cover doubles as a serving bowl! You can also learn to say “Popcorn Maker” in two languages that are not English. Sweet!

An officially licensed Sanrio product, the Hello Kitty Popcorn Maker sells for $59.99 on Amazon and elsewhere if you can’t make it to the Pop Up.
