What happens when a teenage witch craving a beach vacation crosses paths with a legendary vampire heroine? Expect magic, mayhem, and a delightfully spooky team-up! Two iconic comic book characters from very different supernatural worlds are joining forces in Sabrina the Teenage Witch X Vampirella, a new crossover series from Archie Comics and Dynamite Entertainment arriving this December. Written by acclaimed comics writer Tini Howard, the series promises a playful blend of classic Archie charm and darker supernatural adventure.

Sabrina Spellman may be a witch, but she’s also a teenager who dreams of a perfectly ordinary summer vacation, complete with sunshine, sand, and all the usual beach-town comforts. When her aunts finally grant her wish, there’s just one small catch: she has to housesit. Accompanied by her ever-adorable feline companion, Salem, Sabrina settles into an idyllic seaside community, hoping to keep her magical abilities under wraps. Unfortunately, one of her neighbors is anything but ordinary.

Enter Vampirella, the legendary Daughter of Drakulon, who knows a thing or two about living between worlds. Torn between her vampire heritage, human expectations, and her own heroic instincts, Vampirella recognizes that Sabrina’s considerable magical talents could prove useful when a new supernatural threat emerges. Before long, the unlikely pair find themselves embarking on an adventure that brings witchcraft, vampiric intrigue, and comic book history together.

Howard is an inspired choice to bring these characters together. Her previous work includes popular runs on Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and Excalibur, along with the recently concluded Sirens: Love Hurts. She has also written Vampirella before, making this new project something of a return engagement with the famously formidable bloodsucker.

Howard has described her affection for Vampirella’s gothic style and personality, while also crediting Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as an influential comic in her own creative development. For this crossover, she gets to explore Sabrina’s darker magical side against the colorful backdrop of a classic Archie-style beach party. That combination alone sounds like a wickedly good time.

Bringing the story to life are veteran Archie artists Bill Galvan and Ben Galvan, whose experience drawing the beloved Riverdale gang makes them well-suited to this unusual collision of supernatural personalities.

For collectors, there’s another reason to get excited. The series will feature an impressive assortment of variant covers from artists including Eric Powell, Francesco Francavilla, Sebastián Píriz, and Mike Rooth, along with a special homage cover by the Galvans. A mystery blind bag offering rare variant covers and other surprises adds an extra dose of comic shop intrigue.

With Sabrina’s spellcasting, Salem’s inevitable scene-stealing potential, and Vampirella’s otherworldly appeal, this December release looks ready to deliver a crossover with plenty of personality. Whether you’re a longtime Archie fan, a Vampirella devotee, or simply someone who appreciates a little supernatural mischief, this is one unusual beach vacation worth putting on your comic book pull list.
