Neil and Liane as Alice and Alice (Photo Courtesy of Liane Butler)
When my friend Liane and her husband Neil were invited to a Wacky Alice in Wonderland-Themed 40th Birthday Party, they took the term Wacky as seriously as possible. The original band called Alice Cooper released its sixth studio album, Billion Dollar Babies, on this date, February 25th, in 1973. Billion Dollar Babies, which went to the Number One position on every chart, is a very special album for me. Favorite Song: “No More Mr. Nice Guy.”

Here I am on one of Alice Cooper Drummer Neal Smith’s drum kits. All of Neal’s Gold and Platinum Albums earned for sales of Alice Cooper band records are on the walls behind me. Billion Dollar Babies is in there, somewhere.

It seems like a gazillion of my FaceBook friends are having a Birthday today – it’s crazy! One of those friends is my great pal Randy, who knows more about cool music than any person I’ve met on the planet so far. Randy! Anyway, Randy posted this photo of a Sex Pistols Birthday Cake on his Facebook Wall and it looked so cool I was moved to conduct a little search to find the original picture, which is of the cake from the 40th Birthday celebration of a guy named Paul King (see image source link above) back in May of 2008! History! If it is your birthday today, I hope it is awesome, and that you have a cake at least as cool as the one that inspired this post!
