Hey Kids, Tuesday night (9/10) at 8:00 PM EDT — right before the big debate — I’ll be participating in a live Roundtable Discussion of Heavy Metal Journo Luminaries where we will be discussing the upcoming Slayer reunion. Hosted by Ghost Cult Magazine, this should be lots of fun! You can tune in at the link below!
It can be said that a decades-dormant “classic” band reuniting on the strength its potential appeal as a nostalgia act is only as good as the material it reunites to resurrect. In the case of a legendary sixties-era group such as The Zombies – a band whose debut album still ranks among the greatest pop albums ever released – the inclusion of just two original members bolstered by several additional seasoned musicians makes for a live show that’s every bit as amazing as it was when the band played out in its original incarnation.
On This Date, August 8th in 1996: Kiss was performing at the Riverfront Coliseum in Cincinnati on their reunion tour when a fan threw a prosthetic leg onstage. The band signed the limb and handed it back to the fan. Rock & Roll!

Hey Kids! I’ll be heading out west for a few days to attend my one hundred million billionth High School Reunion out in the OC, so blog posts will be a little sparse. If I can just stomach the deluge of Styx and Boston songs the DJ plays, I’m certainly expecting this shindig to be more hilarity than horror-show. But you never can tell.
