Dennis Wilson, drummer for The Beach Boys would have celebrated his 66th Birthday today. On December 28, 1983, shortly after his 39th birthday, Wilson drowned at Marina Del Rey in Los Angeles after drinking all day and diving in the afternoon to recover items he had thrown overboard at the marina from his yacht back in 1980. He was buried at sea off the California coast on January 4, 1984 by the U.S. Coast Guard.
Happened right across the canal from where I live now. R.I.P. Mr. Wilson. We all thought that Brian would be the first to go… he’s still around and his little brothers are gone.
