An authentic US Passport once owned by the late Jeff Hyman (AKA Joey Ramone) is currently up for auction through 6:00 PM EST on February 21st, 2013. Here’s a description:
Joey Ramone’s personal passport, number 061041624, issued on September 9, 1986. Passport measures 3.5 x 5, and contains his printed personal information on the inside front cover, signed on the adjoining page in black ink with his real name, “Jeff Hyman.” Affixed on the personal information page is a 1.5 x 1.75 passport snapshot.
Forty-four of the inside pages are stamped on both sides with entry stamps and some affixed work visas and permits from around the world including London, Japan, Argentina, Italy, Brazil, Denmark, Australia, New Zealand, the Bahamas, Canada, Norway, Canada, and New York City. Stamps date from the late 1980s to 1996. Expected wear from use, two punch holes to front cover, and several labels affixed to covers, otherwise fine condition.
Provenance: Joey Ramone Estate. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from the Joey Ramone Estate. A very personal and one-of-a-kind item, enhanced by his uncommon legal signature, and also showcasing the band’s willingness to play anywhere and anytime.
