Sleeping with The Beatles! (All Photos By Keven Gayton)
Believe it or not, these photos of what looks like a Bedroom Shrine to The Beatles aren’t from the seventies. These were taken by my sister last December on a tour of selected private homes located in Royal Hawaiian Estates, a condominium complex located in Palm Springs, California.

Let’s Play!
According the Tour’s Website, homes in the complex, built in 1961 by Wexler and Harrison, embody a “perfect mix of classic Modernism and Tiki Charm.” Sounds like my thing! Here’s what you can look forward to on the tour:
Including 40 units in 12 buildings originally built for the local Jewish community, the Royal Hawaiian Estates is Palm Springs’ first historic residential district as honored by the Palm Springs City Council in 2010. Known for its kitschy, tiki-inspired Polynesian architecture, we invite you to a relaxing self-guided tour of this community, featuring iconic tiki apexes, flying sevens, roofline teeth, and ladder extensions. While touring the interiors of at least ten (10) featured homes (with three to five homes not shown on the 2023 tour), take time to relax on the pool deck and “tiptoe” to our Pop-Up Shop and find a cool Royal Hawaiian tee! While there, receive an exclusive Royal Hawaiian gift created by one of our community residents, SHAG!
