Spotted on June 1st in NYC’s ever-vibrant Freeman Alley: a fabulous Pink Panther mural bringing major sass and splash to the Lower East Side. Just in time for Pride Month, this iconic character’s rosy hue and sly grin feel perfectly on-brand for a city-wide celebration of self-expression, love, and individuality.
A nearby “MSG” tag (far left in above photo) may hint at the artist behind the piece, although it does not look like the work of MSG Crew so that may just be a still-visible tag leftover from a now painted-over work. Like much of NYC street art, the artist identity remains an enigma. For now, this adorable Pink of Panther is a reminder that Pride comes in many shades — including bubblegum.
