Fashion has always been an essential part of the Hellfire Gala, but this July, Marvel is taking the red carpet fun in an unexpected direction. In celebration of the upcoming X-MEN: THE HELLFIRE MURDER #1, a new collection of HELLFIRE COSTUME SWAP VARIANT COVERS imagines some of Marvel’s most beloved heroes stepping out in one another’s signature looks.

Other swaps include Laura Kinney as Patch, Moon Knight as Black Knight, Scarlet Witch as Polaris in her Malice era, and perhaps the most unexpected pairing of all: Thor reimagined as Ant-Man.

Iron Man as Hawkeye

The stylish variants are the latest offering from Marvel’s Stormbreakers, Marvel’s elite program spotlighting the next generation of comic book artists. The current class includes Alessandro Cappuccio, Netho Diaz, Simone Di Meo, Juan Frigeri, Gurihiru, Jonas Scharf, Geoff Shaw, and Luciano Vecchio, creators whose dynamic work continues to shape the future of Marvel storytelling.

Originally launched in 2020 as an evolution of the publisher’s Young Guns initiative, Marvel’s Stormbreakers has become a proving ground for some of the industry’s brightest talents. Over the years, the program has helped elevate artists such as Steve McNiven, Jim Cheung, Sara Pichelli, and Ryan Stegman — creators who have gone on to illustrate many of Marvel’s most iconic characters, events, and series.
