Video Clip of The Week: You Me At Six, “Night People”

OK, bitches; it’s time to wake up! Coming on with no nonsense sturm und drang, and a lead-heavy groove reminiscent of Soundgarden or Alice in Chains in their prime, You And Me At Six bring us the visually seductive clip for “Night People” — the eponymous track off the British band’s upcoming fifth album. This is our first exposure to this excellent band — who’ve mastered the elusive art of making heavy music that doesn’t lose sight of the melody — but apparently they’ve been making an impact across the water for years now; having already scored three Top 5 albums, including a UK Number 1 on their last release, Cavalier Youth. Well-deserved, from the sound of it.

While “Night People” seems to be thematically celebrating the power and the pleasure of nighttime activity (let your imagination fill in the blanks), we would certainly love to see them make a million dollars/pounds and score a sweet licensing deal in which this song is used as an integral soundtrack element in any quality vampire flick. #MakeItHappen.

You And Me At Six will release Night People on January 13, 2017 through BMG.  We can hardly wait. Enjoy!
