Me with Bill at a Modern Drummer Party
On This Date, December 12th, in 2008, Modern Drummer Editor Bill Miller passed away after a long and hard-fought battle with melanoma. Bill was just 47 years old. I still miss Bill every day and I know that everyone at Modern Drummer does as well. He was not only a great editor who taught me so much about drumming and how to write about drummers, he was also a good friend. Rest in Peace, Bill.

Bill Miller is my editor at Modern Drummer magazine. By allowing me to write for Modern Drummer, the most widely read drum publication in the universe, over the past ten years, Bill and has legitimized me in the world of technical journalism and allowed me to interview and make friends with many amazing and cool drummers. For that and other reasons too numerous to mention, Bill is awesome. Happy Birthday, Bill!!
Cliff “I am so much cuter than that talking baby who advertises for Quiznos” Miller
Meet my new friend, Cliff. Cliff was just born in May so you can see he is still quite small, and yet, exceptionally cute. In fact, I believe he may be the cutest baby ever in the universe of all time. In this picture you can see Cliff looking stylish in an outfit I purchased for him at Old Navy on 6th Avenue here in Manhattan. Looking good, Cliff!
This is a picture of Cliff with his dad, Bill, all decked out for Halloween. (You can see where Cliff gets his good looks). I believe he is supposed to be a skunk. Rad.
Happy Halloween Everybody!
