In Memorium: Remembering The Bunny Museum of Altadena, California

Nestled in the heart of Altadena, California, the Bunny Museum stood as a whimsical sanctuary dedicated to the celebration of all things rabbit. A beloved institution, it wasn’t just a museum; it was a home, a labor of love, and a testament to the boundless joy that collecting and cherishing can bring. Tragically, this haven was reduced to ashes in the recent LA wildfires — specifically the Eaton Canyon Fire, which wiped out much of Altadena — leaving behind only memories of its unparalleled charm and the countless smiles it inspired. I was lucky to have visited this wonderful collection with my sister on Christmas Eve day while in California for the holidays. I can’t believe it’s gone.

In February 2012, shortly after completing a tour of Japan, Johnny Venus, drummer for American rock band Greek Fire (and longtime drum tech for Story of The Year) was diagnosed with Leukemia. Devastating news, to be sure. Representatives for the band have issued a statement saying that, “Johnny is fighting the battle of his life, and even in these darkest of times his incredible courage and strength inspired Johnny’s fellow band mates to write a song about this profoundly difficult and emotional journey.” Continue reading Greek Fire Release New Song In Support of Leukemia Stricken Drummer

Honoring & Remembering Our Service Men and Women on Memorial Day

USO Logo Patch

My father was a veteran of two wars, having served in the Marine Corp in both World War II and Korea. Despite the fact that I do not support acts of war, his and others’ selfless service to our country has inspired me to support the efforts of the USO for many years now. On this Memorial Day, please remember the men and women who sacrifice so much to serve in our military by making a tax-deductible donation to USO Dot Org – which will help support our troops, lift their spirits and honor their service – at this link. Thank you.
