As we enter a new year here at The ‘Gig, I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who stops by to read, scroll, laugh, discover something new, or simply enjoy a daily pop of color  in my corner the Internet.  Your support and enthusiasm mean more than you know, and they’re a big part of what keeps this site fun, lively, and ever-evolving.

This past year brought so many exciting features, quirky finds, pink things, art discoveries, and design delights, and I’m grateful to have shared each one with you. Looking back, I’m proud of everything we created together — and already excited for what  2026 will bring. Have a Peaceful New Year!

Fly By Night: Pigeons Light Up the NYC Sky Through June 12th!

Hey, you know what would be crazy fun idea? What if you took 2,000 trained pigeons and attached tiny, lightweight LED lights to their little legs, and then set them free into the night sky, where they would fly around and put on a light show? How much would that rule? I can tell you the answer: It would rule so much, because it is a thing called Fly By Night, and you can see it for yourself!
