As we enter a new year here at The ‘Gig, I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone who stops by to read, scroll, laugh, discover something new, or simply enjoy a daily pop of color  in my corner the Internet.  Your support and enthusiasm mean more than you know, and they’re a big part of what keeps this site fun, lively, and ever-evolving.

This past year brought so many exciting features, quirky finds, pink things, art discoveries, and design delights, and I’m grateful to have shared each one with you. Looking back, I’m proud of everything we created together — and already excited for what  2026 will bring. Have a Peaceful New Year!

Have you seen the New Year’s Eve Glasses for 2025? I haven’t, but then again I don’t care! I will be staying inside the Chickpad tonight and celebrating with some champagne, snacks and TV! Starting tomorrow, let’s just take things one day at a time, shall we?

The New Year’s Eve tile above is part of Times Square Times: 35 Times, a public artwork commissioned from Ceramic sculptor Toby Buonagurio by the MTA Arts for Transit. It is permanently installed in illuminated presentation windows embedded in the glass block passageway walls throughout the Times Square – 42nd Street Subway Station. The artworks are owned by the MTA New York City Transit. However you choose to celebrate this evening, have fun , be safe and stay cozy warm!
