The price of a first class postage stamp will increase from 42 cents to 44 cents effective Monday, May 11th, 2009. So I’d suggest everyone head down to their local Post Awful some time before then and pick up a few books of the Forever Stamp, like I did this morning. By virtue of its name, the Forever Stamp – which can currently be purchased for $7.56 for a book of 18 stamps – will still be valid for the 44 Cent postage increase and all increases after that! So stock up now and save yourself the hassle of having to buy a bunch of 2-cent stamps!
Those of you that read this blog with regularity will know that most weekends, Geoffrey and I take what we call an “Urban Field Trip” so that we have an excuse to leave the house. This Past Sunday we visited the Buckminster Fuller exhibit at the Whitney Museum. I admit that I did not know much (i.e. practically anything) about Fuller before we decided to go see the exhibit.
