Impaled Snowmen Mirror New Yorker’s Degree of Frustration With Winter Weather

It is at least somewhat of a relief to us snow-plagued New Yorkers to know that other parts of the country are also “enjoying” similarly crap weather this winter! Tragically, it appears that a couple of fed-up snowmen have resorted to impaling themselves on the Ellifritt Structure located at the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Wyoming. Big Fat Snowman in Chinatown

Geoffrey and I got off the F train at the East Broadway stop last evening, enroute an art exhibit for Anthony Michael Sneed when we bumped right into this awesome snowman guarding the corner of Essex and Canal. I’ve kept this picture on the large side so you can see the details, including its tomato buttons and traffic cone hat emblazoned with Chinese characters. Fat Snowman! I know everyone loves to bitch and moan about the snow here in NYC but stuff like this makes it all worth it. And you know what? You’ll probably miss it when it’s gone (sort of, not really).
