Brazilian artist Marta Minujin’s recent artistic forays reflect the public and private nature of her practice. In addition to tackling works of remarkable ambition and scale — including huge inflatables presented in public venues — she unfailingly produces art in her long-standing studio making labor-intensive abstract paintings out of thousands of small strips of painted fabric, such as Sunrise in Patagonia (2012).
