March 31, 1993: Brandon Lee, whose father, martial arts legend Bruce Lee died at age 32, dies during the filming of what proves to be his final movie, The Crow, after a freak accident in which a prop gun loaded with blanks fires a bullet that had previously been lodged in its barrel. He was 28 years old.

Lemmy Lives!
The Only Card He Needs is the Ace Of Spades

Now, this is exciting news. Locoape (a trademarked brand of Toynk Toys LLC) have created this very attractive “Icon figure” of Motorhead Bassist/Vocalist Lemmy, which I think you will agree is a “must have” for all fans of Motorhead and heavy metal fans in general, not to mention (but you can see I am about to) all collectors of Action Figures of famous rock musicians. Well, all right. Ordering information for Lemmy-in-a-box is available at LemmyFigure.Com .

Gail In Print: Modern Drummer, May issue and Metal Edge, April Issue

Tomas Haake: Math Rocker!

Check out the May issue of Modern Drummer, with Mesuggah’s Tomas Haake on the cover, for my Rad updates on Ben Gillies of Silverchair and Sean O’Shea of Orgone.

Also, look for my retro-reviews of classic albums by Warrant and Quiet Riot in the article “25 Essential Hair Metal Albums,” found in April’s edition of Metal Edge.

Johnny!

I LOOOOOOOOVE Gail Worley, it’s true! She was a pleasure to work with and very easy to talk to. As a musician and entertainer, doing interviews can be a pain in the ass – bad questions, misquotes, etc., but not with Gail. She was very creative, educated in regards to the subject matter and professional. It was a dream of mine to appear in Modern Drummer magazine one day and I’m glad Gail wrote that article. Xoxo.
