On the dual-building facade space that previously hosted a mural by Denis Ouch, a new two-panel piece by Alec Monopoly has appeared. The eye-catching diptych — depicting Richie Rich mining Bitcoin on its southern face, and Mr. Moneybags (aka the Monopoly Man, from whom the artist takes his name) drifting on a deployed “I Heart NY” parachute while clutching a bulging bag of cash on its eastern face — probably went up during the first two weeks of April.

The mural expands across two facades of the building at the corner of 8th Avenue and Greenwich Avenue (adjacent to the Mobil Station), in Chelsea. Jackson Square Park is just across the street.

In the background of the photo above, you can see two other murals by Alec. In the image below you can see  the detail of a separate panel below the Richie Rich image.
