Batman fans, get ready to give your display shelves a serious upgrade! Mattel brought a little Gotham City drama to New York Comic Con with the debut of its new DC Premium Batman: Hush Rooftop Bat-Signal Diorama Set, a collectible inspired by one of the Dark Knight’s most celebrated comic book storylines.
Available for preorder at Mattel Creations for $100, this isn’t your average action figure. It’s practically a miniature Batman movie set, complete with a Gotham rooftop, a removable gargoyle, a working Bat-Signal, and even a water-based fog effect to give the scene that suitably gloomy Gotham atmosphere.
Inspired by Batman: Hush, the acclaimed comic-book series written by Jeph Loeb with artwork by Jim Lee, the set recreates the dramatic look of the story’s iconic Batman imagery. The Batman figure features 34 points of articulation, interchangeable hands, and an oversized wired cape modeled after the memorable comic-book cover. In other words, you can pose the Caped Crusader just about any way you like while keeping that dramatic silhouette intact.
And the extras are what make this collectible especially fun. The Bat-Signal actually projects onto nearby surfaces, while the premium packaging doubles as a display backdrop. Add the fog effect, and you have the makings of a miniature Gotham City scene right on your shelf. Just don’t be surprised if your other collectibles suddenly start looking a little less heroic.
The original Batman: Hush storyline introduced a mysterious new enemy while bringing together a memorable lineup of familiar faces, including Catwoman, the Joker, Superman, Nightwing, Robin, Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Killer Croc, Huntress, and the Riddler. Its mix of mystery, action, and iconic characters has helped make it a fan favorite.
The new diorama is the first product revealed under Mattel and DC’s newly announced multi-year licensing partnership, with additional DC figures scheduled to be unveiled during a livestream on January 1, 2027.
For Batman collectors, Hush fans, and anyone who appreciates a good Bat-Signal moment, this premium set offers a particularly dramatic way to bring a piece of Gotham home.
