Season’s Beatings!

Merry Holidaze

Yeah, That’s It…

Hey Kids! I’m heading out to California later this afternoon for week of sun and fun with the family and friends. While I’m looking forward to enjoying temperatures of over 40 degrees, I’ll be away from the blog until at least December 27th. So have a wonderful holiday and try not to miss me too much.

Me Having Fun In LA, Left to Right: Ryan, Me, Sue, Nathan, Wendy, Jason, Seven, Anna. Fun!

I know it’s been a while since I updated this thing. I hope you missed me as much as I missed you. I was away because I flew out to California to surprise my Dad for Father’s Day, because that is just the kind of amazing daughter I am. Dad was really surprised and happy to see me and did not have a heart attack and die in the restaurant as I feared might happen when he saw me, being that he was not expecting me to show up in California from NYC for Father’s Day. Thank goodness he lived, because accidentally killing my Dad on Father’s Day would have really been a drag.

Before I went down to Orange County (where my parents live) for the Big Father’s Day Surprise, I had the chance to spend a couple of days in LA hanging out with my West coast peeps, eating many delicious foods and getting way too much sun. It was awesome. And you should see this hot pink, Indian silk print slip dress I got on Venice Beach for $10! What a bargain! I Love California!

Please enjoy a collection of rad pictures of me having fun in the sun after the jump.

Gail’s California Christmas Adventure

Gail and Sue
Sue and Gail: Going to the Beach in December is Fun!

I just got back at midnight from six wonderful days in California, where the most excercise I got was shutting the car door and lifting a fork to my mouth! It was sunny and warm every day I was there and I had the chance to visit a bunch of old friends, the kind you only get to see once a year (or less) due to living in different parts of the country. That is always fun, especially when you can reminisce about/make fun of all the losers who graduated high school or college with you and are now fat and divorced with dysfunctional grown kids who still live with them. Good times.

My favorite part of my visit was when my best friend in the Universe, Sue came down from LA to hang out with me at my parent's house for two days so I could maintain my sanity. Sue rocks! Here are some pictures of us at the beach.

I have other photos but they are too small to post here, so you will just have to use your imagination.

I hope that all of you had a Rad Chrismas Adventure like I did!
