Pose MSK Mural on Lafayette Street

Pose MSK Mural

Chicago-based street artist Pose MSK painted this fantastically colorful mural back in March of 2014, but it still looks brand new! Pose’s work combines elements of signpainting, advertising, comic books and graffiti into collage-like pop-art compositions. The mural is located at 188 Lafayette, near the corner of Lafayette and Broome, and was sponsored by the LISA Project.

I spotted this D*Face mural of a lovely blonde on Broome Street between Crosby and Lafayette Streets in Soho, NYC. These photos were taken around 5 PM, when the position of the sun makes it look pretty washed out. This mural, entitled Double Crossed, is part of the Lisa Project.

Sweet Toof at Broome and Bowery

Sweet Toof

It’s really been years since we spotted any work by the mysterious British Street Artist Sweet Toof in the neighborhood, but maybe that is just because we do not know where to look! Immediately recognizable for the distinctive, over-sized Gums on the character, this cheerful mural can be found at the northeast corner of Broome and Bowery in downtown Manhattan.

Update: Sweet Toof (@onlysweettoof) recently tweeted at me to inform me that this shutter mural is actually a collaboration between him and DarkClouds. So, thanks for that!
