June is here, and for art and design enthusiasts like me, it’s an extra special month. Why, you ask? Well, it’s Pride Month! Especially in the vibrant city of New York, June is a time when the LGBTQ+ community and its allies come together to celebrate diversity, acceptance, and love. The atmosphere is electrifying, with rainbow flags adorning streets, parks, and buildings, creating a colorful and inclusive environment that fills my heart with joy. Coney Island’s Luna Park Created in Lite Brites
We made the trek to Coney Island last Friday evening to take in the penultimate Fireworks show from right on the beach — an appropriate way to celebrate the end of what has been a fantastic Summer! We had time to kill before the show started though, so we had fun eating at Nathan’s and cruising the shops, including the Lola Star Gift Shop, which is located on the Boardwalk just east of Coney Island Pier.
