2011 has been a busy year for Neal Smith. The drummer and founding member of Alice Cooper – one of the most influential and popular American rock bands of the seventies – was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as a member of that band back in March of this year. Trent Reznor by Joseph Cultice Circa 1993 (Photo By Gail)
Trent Reznor was born on this day, May 17, in 1965, which makes him 46 today. This has been a pretty good year for Trent, what with winning both a Golden Globe and an Oscar for his soundtrack (composed with Atticus Ross) for the best movie (IMHO) of 2010, The Social Network. The world loves a winner. I’m looking forward to hearing Reznor’s score for the upcoming American remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, as well. Happy Birthday, Trent!
Geoffrey gave me permission (basically, I said, “This is going on my blog” and he said “OK”) to repost this photo of him posing with En Esch (aka Nick Schandelmaier) of KMFDM. It is the best photo ever.
