Spotted swimming through the aisles at NY Now Summer Marketplace, these hilariously adorable socks feature a grinning shark floating underwater, mouth agape, holding a sign that reads “Free Kisses.” He’s irresistible.

I’m long overdue for a Shark Attack post — and this one’s an absolute killer. I recently spotted an ad from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) that stopped me in my tracks. Plastered on the back of a newsstand in Midtown Manhattan, the image features a gaping shark’s maw, all teeth and terror, lunging straight at you. The message? Don’t look at your phone while driving. Because distracted driving kills — and this ad isn’t mincing words (or flesh).

This Biting Shark Game was spotted in a Flying Tiger store in Chiswick, London during my 2024 summer vacation. Since all the US-based Flying Tiger stores went out of business during the Covid lockdown, I was extremely excited to find out that they still exist in Europe, because they are just the best stores ever.
