Pink Thing of The Day: Pink Neon Glow

I don’t know about you, but when I’m on my own and away from my apartment for too long, I start to feel a little bit lonely, even if I’m technically around other people. I think this is due to me being very attached to my things: specifically, my Pink Things. It’s probably no surprise to learn that the dominant colors in the Chickpad are shades of pink and bold accents of red. It is like living in a cozy pink cocoon. I love it so much.

Recently, I was cat-sitting for friends who live far enough uptown that it was necessary for me to sleep at their home for a number of days. Even though I was still in the city, and going out daily, being away from my pink things made me feel sad and somewhat despondent.

One evening I walked to the Metro Diner located at 100th St. and Broadway to have a cheeseburger, and was so entranced and comforted by the Pink Glow of these neon tubes set against the vintage milk glass lighting fixtures, that I had to capture the vibe. I hope you will agree with me that this is very beautiful photo which instantly gives a feeling of warmth and love.
