With Mother’s Day coming up on May 12th, as a popular alternative to gifting your Mom with a fresh floral bouquet, why honor her a half-dozen gorgeous Pink Roses in a display box? Let explain; these preserved blooms are called Forever or Eternal Roses and you can find them everywhere these days. There are even tiny boutiques in certain high-end malls that sell this item exclusively. Eternal roses (aka preserved roses) are made by harvesting fresh flowers at their peak bloom stage, trimming the stems, and treating them with a glycerin-based formula. The glycerin replaces the water inside the rose, which helps to preserve its natural beauty and form. The roses are then dyed with non-toxic, plant-based colors.
These bouquets and arrangements are quite expensive compared to fresh roses, but fresh roses only last about 12 days. While not exactly eternal, these attractive arrangements can last up to three years if you take care of them. What a bagain!
