Gary Numan to Tour North America
On This Date in 1979: Tubeway Army had the #1 single in the UK with “Are Friends Electric?” from the album, Replicas. Much in the way that Nine Inch Nails is Trent Reznor, Tubeway Army was (at the time anyway) basically a solo project of electronic music pioneer Gary Numan (born Gary Webb). Fans will be overjoyed to know that Numan is just about to embark on a US tour, Pleasure Principle. Tour dates (starting in October 2010) are available at This Link. I’ve seen Numan in concert before and his shows are quite excellent, so I would recommend getting tickets if seeing a Gary Numan concert is on your Bucket List.
