I wish I could recall exactly who it was who introduced me to LA-based superstar drummer Matt Laug. Along with a long list of many other rock artists, Matt might be best-known for playing drums on Alanis Morissette’s 1995 breakthrough album, Jagged Little Pill, which sold over 16 million copies and was the number one album on the US Billboard 200 for the decade 1990-1999. I met Matt when he was drumming for Slash’s Snakepit, and after interviewing him for Modern Drummer Magazine we finally had the chance to meet in person over Margarita’s and Mexican food at El Compadre restaurant in Hollywood back in 2002, I believe. Good times.
