An added upside to taking a walk around the neighborhood on a holiday is that a lot of businesses are closed, so you get a chance to check out all of sweet street art on security gates that are rolled up much of the time. While I could not find a tag on this piece, which adorns the security gate for the Lucky Bar on Avenue B, it sure does look like a mohawk-sporting Punk Rocker version of Frank Ape, by the artist Brandon Sines.
Lucky Bar is located at 168 Avenue B, East Village, NYC.

Mr. OneTeas Wack Donalds-ized version of Yoda and Winnie the Pooh were found still clinging to the exterior of the former Germania Bank located at 190 Bowery (Corner of Spring Street), which was the private residence of photographer Jay Maisel for the past 5 decades before being sold to developer Aby Rosen, despite claims that the building had been Buffed of its Graffiti, in preparation for being turned into the World’s Largest Starbucks.

I spotted this cute Sad Ice Cream Sundae mural by Mohawk-sporting street artist Buff Monster on Spring Street near Mott Street in Soho. Too bad it is mostly obscured by a security gate and a dumb store sign. Dumb sign! No wonder the Ice Cream Sundae is sad!
