It’s Going to Be Okay

Jesus god, can you believe we’ve got just two more days of 2021 to survive before we kick off another year of weirdness? Personally, I lost track of linear time a while back.  Maybe take some time today to think about whether or not you’re in a better place now than you were 365 days ago. If you’re not dead, then the answer is probably ‘Yes,’ but there is no objective reality. I know that I feel fortunate to be healthy — thanks to being vaccinated plus a booster — employed, and in the company of good friends. If you’re feeling not so great, try to end the year on a high note by being thankful for what you have rather than miserable for what you have not. It’s going to be okay

Radiohead Triumphantly Return to Not Sucking

My very favorite story about the band Radiohead concerns the time (a few years ago, now) that I emailed their publicist to request a review copy of the band’s new CD (it was OK Computer at the time). This is a common practice between writers and publicists which shouldn’t have met with any reaction other than, “Sure, what address do we send it to?” But that’s not what happened.
