Contemporary Art Fans: here’s fun show that you won’t want to miss, and it’s only up for two more weeks, so act fast! Curator/Dealer Vito Schnabel (son of Artist and Film Director Julian Schnabel) and the Bruce High Quality Foundation (BHQF), an anonymous art collective focused on providing free art education through Bruce High Quality Foundation University (BHQFU), are currently hosting The Last Brucennial: a group show featuring the works of over 600 Known and Unknown Artists across a wide variety of mediums. On a recent art crawl I spotted Pink Poodle sculptures in two different exhibits – crazy! The Poodle above is from the Desire Obtain Cherish exhibit at Unix Gallery and the Pink Poodle below was part of The Last Brucennial on Washington Street and West 13th. Bacon Thing of The Day: Bacon Star of David

Artist Chloe Wise created this sculpture of a Jewish Star (AKA Star of David) out of delicious crispy Bacon! You can see this amazing (and tasty) artwork as part of The Last Brucennial group art exhibit on now through April 4th, 2014 in a huge street level space located at the corner of 837 Washington and West 13th Streets. Hours are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 Noon to 6 PM. Watch for further coverage of our visit to The Last Brucennial coming to The Gig in the next few days!
