
Duke and Duchess of North Caldwell By Federico Castellucio
Fountain Gallery, part of the Fountain House organization and charity is pleased and excited to share the addition of Soprano’s cast member Federico Castellucio’s work to its 100 artist line-up for its annual benefit auction, Mad About Art, scheduled to take place on Thursday, November 21st, 2013. Castellucio played reoccurring character Furio Giunta, a member of Tony Soprano’s crew who was secretly in love with Carmela Soprano, and was a huge fan favorite. Casteluccio has donated one of his original prints entitled, The Duke and Duchess of North Caldwell – in honor of James Gandolfini and Edie Falco, who are depicted as Duke and Duchess from the original painting Duke and Duchess of Urbino by Piero della Francesca, seen below.

I was a devoted reader and enthusiastic supporter of the Story Minute for years when it appeared in an alternative weekly paper here in the city that I eventually had to break up with because its publisher was too much of a right wing nut job, at which I point I lost track of Carol and her fantastic strip. I stayed up way past my bedtime last night to watch the final episode of The Sopranos, which I had to record, because I was out at a Big Rock Show. And while I am seriously paying for it today in the not-enough-sleep department, I’m so glad I forced myself to watch it as soon as I staggered in the door instead of waiting until tonight, because it was just so good. I admit I was left sitting on my bed at the end going “What? What just happened? Did my tape run out? when the screen cut to black right as Steve Perry was singing the words “Don’t Stop” in the woefully underrated Journey song, “Don’t Stop Believing.”
