Michael Jackson’s performance in the Thriller music video will never be forgotten in our heart. Tribute to the world’s greatest entertainer of all time, Hot Toys is proud to present Michael Jackson in this 1/6th scale collectible figure. This life-like collectible figure depicts the King of Pop as he appears in his Thriller music video in 1983.

This Michael Jackson – Thriller collectible features:

– Hot Toys’ slim version TrueType body, over 32 points of articulation,
stands approximately 30 cm high
– 2 interchangeable heads – MJ head and Zombie head
– 2 sets of costumes (original red jacket and pants & the zombie suit)
– 2 sets of white socks with black shoes
– Five (5) sets of interchangeable hands and one (1) additional posing right hand
– 12 inch figure stand with the classic Thriller title and Michael Jackson nameplate

Release date: Third Quarter, 2009

Please note that while this item will be made available for sale in Hong Kong and Japan only, there is little doubt that a few will be exported over to the States and show up on eBay or on the shelves/behind the front counter of cool specialty shops like Forbidden Planet here in downtown NYC.

Tim Burton’s Oyster Boy Gets Line of Vinyl Figures

Oh Boy!

Oh man, these are really cool! Dark Horse has introduced an upcoming line of large-size vinyl figures based on the characters from Tim Burton’s book of short fiction, The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy and Other Stories. This new 6” line brings forward the special nuance of each individual creation and fits very nicely into the ever-growing popularity of “designer vinyl” collectible toys. Three releases are planned for the end of 2009: Oyster Boy, Stain Boy and Toxic Boy. Pricing or run size is not yet available. My friend Vinny owns this book and I’ve read a few of these stories, which are just crazy, so these toys should attract a lot of Tim Burton fans and memorabilia collectors!

I found this image at the pop culture website Millionaire Playboy after being tipped off by a Facebook friend. Yes, that is in fact a GG Allin Bobblehead. This uncanny likeness of the late punk/shock rocker (if he could be called a rocker) is made by Aggronautix, stands 7 inches high and is limited to 2000 pieces. This version features a hot pink spacesuit with a green body. The Cadet measures 11″ tall (including sock), comes individually clamshelled and boxed (4″ wide x 9 ½” wide x 11″ tall) and is limited to only 80 pieces worldwide. Look for the figure to retail at around $60.”
