Neatorama.com Brings NeatoHub Web Ring Project to a Close

It is with a heavy heart that I am writing about the end of Neatorama’s NeatoHub Web Ring link exchange project. The NeatoHub widget resides on the Worley Gig’s home page in the lower right-hand margin, and also shows up above the comment box when you click through a post to leave a comment. It has been Worley Gig’s immense pleasure to participate in this project since its inception in 2010. Continue reading Neatorama.com Brings NeatoHub Web Ring Project to a Close

Bacon Thing of The Day: Bacon Jew Blogspot!

In my tightly-knit circle of music industry friends and fiends, Marc Schapiro is a guy I have known for a very long time. From his gigs as a publicist for various metal labels to his independent entrepreneurial undertakings, Marc always rocks 24/7. One of Marc’s recent projects is his new blog, Bacon Jew Blogspot, where he posts lots of fun photos and news about being a Jew who loves bacon. He also sells T-Shirts and bacon fashions from the site. Marc is awesome, so please visit his blog right now and show the Bacon Jew some sweet and smoky love.

Rad Website of the Day: Don’t Judge My Hair

Prom Hair
Best. Prom. Hair. Ever.

Lasts night, after innocently clicking on a way old picture of 1980s UK dance band Kajagoogoo (I very much enjoyed their hit single, “Too Shy”) I accidentally discovered the website, Don’t Judge My Hair, and had to bookmark it immediately. This is a hilarious picture-based blog dedicated to poking the fun at (often clueless) people who have outrageously ridiculous hairdos. I can get on board with that. Enjoy!

Update: Sadly, this site is not longer online as of 10/24/11 – Bummer!

We Are Moving

moving-day

Due to persistent and chronic hacking of this site by an unknown entity that hates bacon and all things Rad, The Worley Gig will be moving to a new host server some time this weekend. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Ian Koss at the wonderful UBI Korp for his years of devoted, cheerful service and unfailing, proactive willingness to troubleshoot a problem that, unfortunately, proved to be just too confounding to warrant much more of anybody’s time trying to solve. The ‘Gig may experience a few hours of downtime while the move takes place, so please come back later if we are found to be temporarily unavailable.

Thank You, Please Drive Through.
