Make Skateboards Pop Up Skate Shop at the I-20 Gallery

The scene inside I-20 Gallery was as hot as the temperature outside for last night’s opening of Make Skateboards, a group exhibition and pop-up skate shop that has to be one of the most fun and original exhibits I’ve seen all year. Conceived as a throwback to the days when art took precedence over branding and a welcoming vibe met you at the door, the show is a playful take on running a skateboard shop, transforming I-20 into a functional retail space. While open, the shop will be offering a custom line of artist-designed skateboards, skate-related ephemera and accessories, original artwork, vintage objects, custom furniture and clothing by up-and-coming New York designers. You gotta check this place out!

Good times. Continue reading Steven Kasher Gallery Presents Rude And Reckless: Punk/Post-Punk Graphics, 1976-82

“I have a food baby” is what we say when we are temporarily engorged after eating a huge, delicious burrito (or burrito bowl) from Chipotle. This is what the food baby looks like, apparently. Mmm, yummy!

The Great Summer Zoofari: A LEGO® Wildlife Expedition at the Bronx Zoo

LEGO Flamingos at the Bronx Zoo

Here at the Worley Gig, we love visiting the Zoo and we also love things made out of LEGOS, so it makes sense that we are excited to tell you about some super fun activities going on this summer at the Bronx Zoo. Through September 30, 2011, the Zoo will be celebrating Zoofari, with awesome life-size LEGO Animal Displays throughout the park (as seen in the pictures on this post), plus LEGO Activity Stations where you can make stuff, and all kinds of other fun features and activities taking place all over the zoo. It should be a pretty “wild” time!

Full details of all Zoofari highlights are available from the Bronx Zoo’s official website at This Link. You can also buy slightly-discounted tickets online at Right Here. Zoofari!
