This November, Marvel Comics is celebrating the 30th anniversary of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story in the most imaginative way possible — by inviting Andy’s beloved toys to step into the pages of Marvel history.

For this special collaboration, Disney artist Marco Forcelloni and illustrator Nicky Nicotera have reimagined three iconic Marvel covers, replacing Earth’s Mightiest Heroes with the world’s most famous playthings. The result? A set of Toy Story Homage Variant Covers that blend nostalgia, heroism, and a big dose of Pixar charm.

Woody takes the lead (naturally) as he rallies the toy box for action, channeling Captain America’s legendary “Avengers Assemble!” moment from Avengers #4. Then, it’s “with great responsibility” time as the cowboy sheriff swings into Spider-Man’s debut scene from Amazing Fantasy #15.

Finally, Buzz Lightyear goes full secret agent — and intergalactic hero — in a tribute to Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. #6, rocketing “to infinity and beyond!” in true Marvel style.

These clever, first-of-their-kind covers capture the playful spirit of Toy Story while honoring some of Marvel’s most enduring imagery — making them must-haves for both comic collectors and Pixar superfans.

The Toy Story Homage Variant Covers will appear on November issues of Amazing Spider-Man, Captain America, and Avengers. Be sure to preorder your favorites at your local comic shop — before Sid gets his hands on them.
