While strolling down Clinton Street on the Lower East Side recently, I passed a neighborhood bakery that I affectionately refer to as the “ghetto bakery” — mostly because the cakes in the window rarely look like anything you’d actually want to eat. If there were such a thing as springtime garbage bins, these four Hot Pink industrial-sized bins would certainly qualify. They are made to look even more spring-appropriate for the inclusion of birds and flowers in the design — although, for me, that detracts from their awesome pinkness. I passed by these while walking on lower Clinton Street, LES, on my way to Pier 36 for an Art Fair!
